watch?v=kJHfPpiVDjU&feature=related  ”It’s Americana with a grand heartbeat.” That’s how Jeff Hahne of Creative Loafing described The New Familiars (selected by Creative Loafing Charlotte as “Best Local Band of 2008.”) They will be bringing their rowdy folk-rock-country blues to LGAC Dec. 11. Opening will be one-man band David Lamanno at 8 p.m. Admission is $6 in advance, $8 at the door (LGAC members $5). A portion of the evening’s proceeds are being donated to the construction of Piedmont Players’ Fisher Street Youth Theater - so if you come, you can have a good time for a great cause. Concessions will be available. No smoking. All ages. Advance tickets available at Tastebuds and at LGAC shop. More info: salisburyartists@gmail.com
