2 PM “History of Jazz” Let Boulder Acoustic Society take your students on a musical journey through America’s art: Jazz. This exciting presentation connects hip hop, gospel, ragtime, blues and jazz with live performances and explanations by engaging musicians and educators. Audience will interact with Boulder Acoustic Society through movement, singing, group discussion and rhythmic activities that illuminate Jazz history in a fun way!
4 PM “All Things Fiddle”
Come join fiddler for peace Kailin Yong for a fiddle support group, where we learn some fiddle tunes from around the world and discuss everything “fiddle.” We will talk about the different fiddle styles, left and right hand technique and anything else that you might be curious about. All levels.
5:30 PM Choose between “Ukulele 101″ and “Simple Songs for Uke.” (Loaner ukuleles will be available.)
Ukulele 101: For the true beginners.
Simple Songs: Here’s a chance to learn some great simple songs that are outside of “normal” uke repertoire. Great for all levels.
6:30 PM Indie and Punk Ukulele Songs demonstration.
This simple instrument is perfect to accompany your “hipster” repertoire. The Decemberists, The Ramones, The Kinks, Elvis Costello …They all sound better on uke!

Salisbury Brass will be offering a mid-afternoon performance 2:15 p.m. Monday, July 13, in the Looking Glass Artist Collective black box theater. The concert is free.
Amadeus Summer Sessions music camp for ages 8-18
It’s not too late to register for music camp, for ages 8-18, being held 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at LGAC July 6-10 and 13-17. The cost for Amadeus members or children of LGAC members is $100 for both weeks or $50 for one week. Cost for all others is $125 for both weeks and $75 for one week. Call Sarah Hall, 704-245-2302.
